Blog Assignment #3

In my third blog, I will be sharing a small piece of my Professional Memo on how to slow down traffic around LaGuardia Community College.
          - A solution that would definitely make drivers more aware of slowing down would be putting automatic spikes on the ground. It would function in such a way that, as the light is green the spikes would obviously be hidden to allow cars to go, but as it turns yellow and into red, the spikes immediately pop up to impede people from going on a red light. Furthermore, the lucky ones who do hit the spikes would also receive a ticket, adding insult to injury. It just goes to show that patience is a virtue, well for your tires anyway.-
This is one of my solutions to slowing down traffic around the college. I chose it because i felt that this solution would be the most effective. The inspiration for this solution actually came from racing movies because no matter how fast the drivers would be going during a race, and cops threw spikes on the ground, they prefer to get arrested than to have blown out tires. So I thought to myself, if racers with exotic cars come to a complete halt to spikes, then anyone would......unless they have special tires that allow them to go through the spikes for a certain amount of time. To add insult to injury, those lucky ones who would run the spikes would receive a ticket for running the red light.....highly upset.

The thing that i most picked up from writing this professional memo was that they can actually be fun, with an interesting topic to talk about. Specially this one that we were allowed to get very creative with our solutions. That is the difference of this assignment from those assignments that I would do in other science classes and English classes.....boring lab reports and boring summaries of complicated art paintings and book summaries. Things which do not catch my attention.
